Blackman 60th Anniversary

Published 9:24 am Sunday, July 5, 2020

Wilbert Worth (Bur) and Carolyn Donnelly Blackman are celebrating 60 years of marriage, hard work and dedication to their family.  They were married July 9, 1960 at the Kenilworth Presbyterian Church in Asheville.
Their family includes Trent and Elaine Blackman of Concord; Anne Blackman of Clemmons; Jon Blackman of Charlotte; Alexander and Taylor Blackman of Mt. Pleasant; Caroline Blackman of Oklahoma City; and one gray feral Cat to be named.
In their spare time, Bur, a retired dentist, continues to enjoy a good novel, a good nap, and mowing the lawn while attempting to eradicate the pestiferous weed population.  Carolyn, a retired math and Latin teacher, enjoys adopting stray cats, painting, online exercise classes and creating works of art with her sewing machine.  They are dedicated to their family and to their community and are life-long members of Second Presbyterian Church.
We love and appreciate our parents and grandparents!
