SALISBURY — A well pump was ready for service, but a Cleveland man’s bank account was not, according to arrest warrants served Friday.

Keith Erwin Cowan, 61, faces charges of felony worthless check, felony obtaining property by false pretenses and resisting officers.

Warrants allege Cowan in November used a check from a bank account that had been closed to obtain a well pump and service from Rowan Well Drilling.

That check, for $2,445, was from a Sun Trust Bank account that he knew was closed, warrants state.

The resisting officers charge stems from allegations that he provided a false name and other information to officers.
