Look! Up in the sky. It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s a skydiver.

The Salisbury Fire Department on Sunday said it rescued one person parachuting to the ground from a tree at 1280 Rowan Mill Road. That’s not far from the Mid-Carolina Regional Airport, where Piedmont Skydiving is located.

The fire department said the patient was not injured. Firefighters used a ladder truck to reach the stranded skydiver.
