Blotter: Salisbury man charged with MDMA possession after traffic stop

SALISBURY — Salisbury police arrested a man following a traffic stop Saturday.

Michael Shunta Bost, 39, of Salisbury, was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver MDMA, felony possession of a schedule I controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a schedule VI controlled substance.

Police pulled over Bost because his vehicle registration was expired. Bost allegedly attempted to flee from the traffic stop. He picked up a misdemeanor resisting public officer charge.

Police found 9.7 grams of MDMA packaged in clear plastic bags, according to warrants.

Bost was previously charged with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance and misdemeanor resisting officer in 2014.

He was also charged with selling a schedule II controlled substance in 2015.

He was given a $5,000 bond and has since been released.

Other weekend arrests:

  •  Tiodorio Antonio Purvis, 33, of Rockwell, was charged by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Saturday with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia for a glass smoking pipe. He is under a $3,000 bond.
  • Curtis Lee Stollings, 30, of Lexington, was charged Sunday by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia for a red digital scale and misdemeanor carrying a concealed weapon.
  • Kelvin Leon Jennings, 51, of East Spencer, was charged Saturday by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office with felony possession of a schedule II controlled substance.
  • Adam Keith Lloyd, 42, of Salisbury, was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office on Saturday. Lloyd allegedly was in possession of a glass smoking pipe and a Chore Boy scouring pad. Lloyd was previously wanted for four charges for failure to appear for misdemeanor larceny and aid and abet larceny charges. He is being held under a $30,000 bond.
  • Jessica Caroline Swinson, 32, of Lexington, was charged Friday with felony breaking and entering and felony possession of a controlled substance on jail premises by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. Swinson allegedly was in possession of methamphetamine at Rowan County Detention Center.
  • Nathan Scott Wagner, 26, of Salisbury, was charged by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office with misdemeanor assault on a female, misdemeanor communicating threats and misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
