Annabelle Grubb turns 100

Annie Bell Winders Grubb celebrated her 100th birthday on March 6, 2020.

She was born to Mary Catherine Koontz and William Robert Winders. She married John Ray Grubb on Oct. 7, 1938. They were married for 62 years before he passed away in 2000.

Annabelle has been blessed with good health. She was a wonderful cook and seamstress. She enjoyed making her clothes and wedding dresses for her daughters. She credits her faith, friends, family and staying active for a long, fulfilling life. She loves all sports, especially the Atlanta Braves.

She continued participating in bowling league competion until she was 96 years old, often being high scorer for her league.

Annie has been a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church for 65 years where she sang in the choir.

Dr. Phyllis Lee Prescott, a daughter and Bradley Shawn Lee, a grandson preceded her in death.
Her younger daughter is Kay Jones (Larry). Grandchildren are Carla Sprinkle (Paul) and Brian Jones. Great-granddaughters are Katelyn and Gracie Sprinkle, Berkli and Sauyer Jones.

Her family has brought her great joy through the years living together on the family farm.

A celebration was held in Annie Bell’s honor on March 6 at Trinity Oaks. It was a special day filled with smiles and love.
