Rowan weather: Showers and thunderstorms

Today we’ll have occasional showers and some thunderstorms, with an 80 percent chance of rain.

Patchy fog is possible before 10 a.m. The high will be 64, with southwest wind at 6-11 mph, gusting to 20 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible. Gusty thunderstorms with frequent lightning could bring more rain.

Tonight has a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m., then showers between 8 and 9. It will be mostly cloudy, then clear, with a low of 43. Winds will be west at 3-8 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 62, with west southwest wind at 5-7 mph in the afternoon. A 30 percent chance of showers is possible Wednesday night, mainly after 1 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 44, with calming wind. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Thursday will be cloudy and 51, with a 70 percent chance of showers, mainly after noon. Winds will be east northeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

The chance of rain Thursday night will be 50 percent, mainly before midnight. It will be mostly cloudy and colder, with a low of 37.

Friday will be sunny and 54, with a clear night and a low of 32.

Saturday will be sunny and 54, too, with a cold low of 29.

Sunday will be sunny and 62. The low will be 37, with mostly clear skies.

Clouds return Monday, with a high of 66.
