The members of Delta Xi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. continue to promote and support community organizations via the international program theme, “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Service”. During the past several months, the members have highlighted and celebrated community minority entrepreneurs. They also supported the ARC, by decorating a Christmas tree, the theme was, “Service To All Mankind.” During the Caregiver Impact Day, chapter members engaged owners and clients of Mary’s

Family Care Home in a “Queen for A Day” extravaganza. The chapter members kicked off their annual College Admission Process (#CAP) Program by hosting a program entitled “Tell It Like It Is”. This event provided high school juniors and seniors with information regarding the college admissions process.

The #CAP activity was held at Woodleaf Lanes and those that attended enjoyed fellowshipping, networking and bowling. The chapter members celebrated Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend “Day of Service” by donating food items, assembled kits for the homeless to donate to Rowan Helping Ministries, served breakfast at Rowan Helping Ministries and participated in the Salisbury MLK Parade.
