Salisbury’s Human Relations Council — MLK Breakfast 2020 filled the J.F. Hurley YMCA gymnasium on Monday morning.

Those gathered got to hear keynote speaker Rev. Dr. Norvel Goff, the former interim pastor of Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, S.C.

Following the June 2015 tragedy there, he provided leadership and pastoral oversight through the congregation’s healing process. For his service and leadership, Goff was awarded the Order of the Palmetto, the highest civilian honor in the state of South Carolina.
