 Tuesday, January 14 the Rowan Museum, located at 202 North Main Street, downtown Salisbury, announces a History Club meeting at 7 p.m. Dr. William Morris of Pfeiffer University will speak on the rise of Nazi Germany and how the fascist state functioned and was ultimately dysfunctional. This is a kickoff to “Victory 45,” an eight-month long celebration of the end of World War II in 1945, hosted by the Rowan Museum.

Aaron Kepley, executive director of Rowan Museum states, “’Victory 45’ is an exciting way to engage with the local community to learn more about World War II through lectures and sharing local stories. The museum is proud to partner with Pfeiffer University’s History Department to bring this story of why World War II started to our community.

The museum sponsors various programs to educate the community of our local history. Enjoy the various topics presented during history club meetings every second Tuesday except July or register for the upcoming Rowan History Class presented by the Rowan Museum and Historic Salisbury Foundation.
