J.C. Price Post and Auxiliary sponsor Children’s Christmas Extravaganza

J.C. Price American Legion Post 107 and Auxiliary sponsored the annual Children’s Christmas Extravaganza On Dec. 21 at the Post home.
Community children, parents and adults were in attendance. Clarence Akins moderated the program and Leonard Hall gave the prayer. Commander Mae Carroll and Wayne Hill were recognized with seasons greetings.

Children enjoyed games such as checkers, chess, dominoes, tic tac toe and toss games, and they danced to Christmas and popular music provided by DJ Fresh.
Ham ,turkey and cheese sandwiches plus juice and cookies were provided to the participants.

The Paw Patrol entertained and danced with the children. Santa Claus (Richard Maxwell) distributed presents such as toys, puzzles, dolls, Hot Wheels race cars, stuffed animals, Frozen II articles, coloring books, trains, headphones and various other age-appropriate toys.

The Paw Patrol was present and he entertained, took pictures with and demonstrated tricks for the children.

Fruit bags containing apples, oranges, nuts and candies were distributed to each child by Santa Claus and Post personnel. Twenty-five extra fruit bags were donated to the Veterans Administration Medical center for geriatric patients.

Post Auxiliary members present were A.J. Alexander, Kathy Scott, Linda Alexander, L.A. Alexander, Gabrielle Alexander and Tonya Clodfelter. Photos were taken by John Daniels.
Others in attendance included Kevin Carroll and Timmy Williams.
