Letter: Trees on power lines can pose danger

Published 12:00 am Sunday, December 8, 2019

As I travel each day to Salisbury from the Rockwell area, I can’t help but notice all the trees that are lying on power lines along U.S. 52.

It starts at the entrance to U.S. 52 from Sides Road until you get almost to Granite Knitwear. These trees have been lying there for some time now. As we approach winter and icing conditions, I hope these do not fall on vehicles, which can cause all types of issues.

This is truly an accident looking for a place to happen, and I hope these do not fall on cars/trucks that have a family inside and can cause power outages.
