Sacred Heart Catholic School
Sacred Heart Catholic School welcomed Kyna Grubb to its November Community Leaders Recognition Day.
Grubb is executive director of Rowan Helping Ministries, which is dedicated to feeding, clothing, housing, and helping those in need.
Community Leaders for November are:
Kindergarten: Ayden Mann and Stewart Adams.
First grade: Scarlette Lomeli and Alex Shores.
Second grade: Olivia Hammill and Alan Reyes-Alberto.
Third grade: Declan Fisher and Edgar Valle.
Fourth grade: Nick Frank and Paloma Sifuentes.
Fifth grade: Lily Hammill and Raegan Glenn.
Sixth grade: Kennedy Goodman and Brad Peeples.
Seventh grade: Mitchell Allen and Nina Villegas.

Eighth grade: Anthony Beltran and Nick Loeblein.

During November, the student government officers led a successful canned food drive for those in need. Partnering with Sister Mary Robert Ministry and Rowan Helping Ministries, students collected 1,683 cans — or 1,484 pounds of food. In addition, students raised $249 this month on Dress Down Day to help the hungry.

With the students’ help, the Sacred Heart Parish assembled 70 Thanksgiving baskets of food and goodies, and Rowan Helping Ministries received 742 pounds of food.
Bostian Elementary School
The staff of Bostian Elementary recognized the following students as exemplary citizens for the month. These students went above and beyond what is expected of them at school.

Kindergarten: Holden Basinger, Amelia Linker, Cooper Delehant, Garrison Broome, Harrison Hunt, Cara Johnson and Joshua Thomas.

First grade: Charlie Cornelius, Gabby Martinez, Kendall Laskey, Regan Gamble, Myla Fletcher, Levi Hurd and Collins Cavitt.

Second grade: Audrey Rogers, Caelyn Christy, Miriam Stover, Haddie Pace, Kennedy Furr and Essie Buckwalter.

Third grade: Brooklynn Miller, Camden Coffey, Brian Ayala-Gonzalez, Alyssa Arriaga, Mason Brown and Kennedy Vanhoy.

Fourth grade: Enrique Zenil-Lewis, Landon Jones, Lilian Little, Layla Flowe, Wesley Kollie and Julie Valois-Garcia.

Fifth grade: Ella Olivia, Olivia Chandler, Maliyah Linn, McKenzie Powers, Caylee Miracco and Peyton Bell.
