Letter: Handicapped spaces not very helpful at Tax Office

Published 12:00 am Sunday, November 17, 2019

I would like to address that handicapped entrance to the Rowan County Tax Office on North Main Street.

I recommend putting two handicapped spaces at the end of the building together and installing a sign showing where the entrance is on Kerr Street.

If the county cannot afford a sign, I would be glad to loan it the money to install the sign pointing toward Kerr Street.

For the side parking lot, eliminate the two handicapped parking spaces at the end of the drive. Then install two new handicapped spaces in front of the entrance. A four-by-four incline ramp should be in front of the entrance also.

For whoever designed the parking lot spaces, I would like to give him my walker and let him tackle the job of taking care of his business at the Rowan County Tax Office.
