On Nov. 3, 2019 North Main Baptist Church, 1501 N. Main St., honored Nancy Jacobs as its long time pianist, organist and choir director.

Nancy came to North Main in 1974 serving in the music ministry for these last 45 years.

The annual Thanksgiving service was dedicated to honoring Nancy and thanking her for her many years of service.

During the celebration she received a certificate of appreciation from the pastor, Amazing Grace wind chimes from the church family and a handmade arrangement of red roses and hymn book roses.
The service included special singing by the Men’s Ensemble directed by Nancy.

Special guests included prior pastor, Rev. Warren Rice and wife Bette from Locust as well as director of missions for the Rowan Baptist Association, Rev. Jonas Perez and his family.

Probably the best part of the celebration was having all of her children there in attendance along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We are thankful that “God is not finished with her yet” as she continues to serve him at NMBC.
