SALISBURY — Culver’s, a restaurant under construction at 730 Jake Alexander Blvd. S., plans to open by mid-January.

The owner-operator, Corey Antonicci, is partnering with George and Dimitri Dimitropoulos, who are based in Milwaukee.

“We are franchisees,” George Dimitropoulos said in an email to the Post. “My operating partner (Antonicci) is living in Salisbury now.”
Dimitropoulos said that while Culver’s is a chain, individual restaurants are locally owned and operated, “and we get involved in our communities and become part of them.”
In his visits to Salisbury, Dimitropoulos has been gathering local artwork that will be displayed in the restaurant.
Construction on the Culver’s here began in the summer after demolition of the former Ryan’s Family Steakhouse.
Culver’s will have dine-in seating, a drive-through window and takeout service.
Customers will order at the front counter, then find a seat while their food is prepared and delivered to their tables.
“We’re excited to bring Culver’s warm hospitality and high-quality meals and treats to Salisbury,” Antonicci said in a news release. “This is an outstanding community, and we’re excited to become an active part of it.
“… Culver’s always gives back to the communities they serve. This includes supporting organizations like the national FFA organization.”
The restaurant is best known for its ButterBurger and frozen custard. Other menu items include chicken sandwiches, garden salads, crinkle-cut fries and Wisconsin cheese curds.
Kids’ meals also are served.
The ButterBurger, made from fresh, never-frozen beef, gets its name from its lightly buttered and toasted bun.
The frozen custard is made from Wisconsin dairy products and batches are handcrafted each business day. The frozen treats can be customized using a choice of 30 mix-ins and toppings.
Three flavors of frozen custard are offered daily — vanilla, chocolate and “flavor of the day.”
The Culver’s franchise system has more than 700 family-owned and -operated restaurants in 25 states.
