SALISBURY — The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Rockwell teen for his alleged involvement in concealing the death of 19-year-old Hunter Hess Howell, who was found Oct. 18 inside his vehicle parked on a road in Rockwell.

The sheriff’s office said it has been obtained warrants for Masyn Drake Bradley, 16, for felony concealment of a death, misdemeanor obstruction of justice, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor simple marijuana possession.

The sheriff’s office said the circumstances of Howell’s death are still under investigation and that more charges and/or arrests are possible.

Howell, of Rimer Road, was found after the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office received notification of a vehicle containing a body near 1099 Lower Stone Church Road in Rockwell.

Later that night, Rowan deputies notified Cabarrus County that the death most likely occurred in Cabarrus County. Cabarrus County investigators confirmed the death did occur in their county, and the two agencies began a joint death investigation.

The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release it wants to reaffirm that the death is an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the community.

The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office said anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Masyn Bradley should contact them at 704-920-3000.
