In September, Sacred Heart Catholic School students raised money for the Walk for Life sponsored by the Rowan County Pregnancy Support Center.
The school hosted the center’s director, Shari Evans, at a morning assembly and presented her a check for $274.50.
Sacred Heart also recognized Community Leaders in September and hosted Elaine Spalding, president of the Rowan County Chamber of Commerce. She visited with students and spoke to them about being leaders in their classrooms and their school, then becoming leaders in the community and the world.
Spalding told the students to be “the best version of themselves” every day and to be a leader, be kind and help others.
Sacred Heart also named Community Leaders for September.
