MILLBRIDGE — The Country Life Museum at Sloan Park will hold a fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the museum.

The day will include live music, food, a live auction, crafts for sale, activities for children and a raffle drawing at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $5, or five tickets for $20. Sloan Park is at 550 Sloan Road, and the Country Life Museum is being developed by the Carolina Antique Power Association.

The Raisin’ Glory gospel band will perform from 9 to 9:30 a.m., and the live auction will begin at 9:30.

After the auction, the music will continue with Raisin Glory, the Efird Family Singers, Southern Style Cloggers and more until 2 p.m.

Food will be provided by Debbie Suggs Catering. Chicken and dumplings, pinto beans, slaw, a roll, drink and dessert will be available for $10 a plate. For children 5 and younger, plates are $5.

Meals will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The first prize in the raffle drawing will be a John Deere Liberty 25 gun safe; second prize, a Pointer 12-gauge semi-automatic shotgun; and third prize, a 2-by-2-foot rooster barn quilt painted by Elsie Bennett.

Two new barn quilts — a 12-foot square and 6-foot square — were installed last Wednesday on the Sloan Park entrance side of the museum. That brings to four the number of barn quilts on the museum’s exterior.

In addition, a barn quilt directional sign to the Country Life Museum has been erected at N.C. 150 and Sloan Road.
