Cruise-In at The Grove
CHINA GROVE — Oak Grove Baptist Church, 1205 S. Main St., will host its second cruise-in and fish fry on Saturday from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. There will be food, fun and fellowship. This event is sponsored by the Pastor’s Aid Committee.

Final concert at The Inn

Jazz Vespers event
On Saturday at 7 p.m. St. John’s Lutheran Church Faith Center, 200 W Innes St., hosts a free evening of Jazz Vespers, including spoken word poetry by Ramon Jordan and a musical performance by Fusion Fellowship.

Homecoming at Pine Ridge Baptist
Pine Ridge Baptist Church, 880 Old Linn Road, will celebrate its 70th homecoming on Sunday. The service is at 10 a.m. with music, a note burning and early church history. Evangelist Mitch Canupp will bring the message. Lunch will be served in the fellowship building.

Homecoming at Rockwell UMC
On Sunday at 10 a.m. Rockwell United Methodist will have its annual homecoming celebration welcoming back Pastor De Hillyer. Friends and Family Day at Love Christian Center
EAST SPENCER — Love Christian Center, 102 N. Long St., will celebrate Friends and Family Day Sunday at 10 a.m. with speaker Elder Toney Snipes, assistant pastor at Love Christian Center, and who will be assigned as the senior pastor Jan. 1, 2020.
Minister Snipes is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Biblical counseling from More Than Conquerors College in Charlotte.

Homecoming and revival at Ardis Chapel AME Zion

Homecoming at Lebanon Lutheran
CLEVELAND — Lebanon Lutheran Church, 1200 Thompson Road, will celebrate homecoming on Sunday. Rev. Dr. David R. Keck, a former pastor, now retired, will conduct the service and message. Lebanon was founded in 1893, 126 years ago.
The Sunday service begins at 10:30 a.m. A covered dish meal will be served in the fellowship hall afterward.

Homecoming at Grace Evangelical
Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3020 Grace Church Road, will celebrate 139 years at homecoming on Sunday. Speaking at the 10:30 a.m. service is Tammy Jones West, assistant to the Bishop.
Special activities include a joint Sunday School lesson led by Jones West at 9:30 a.m., music by a reunion choir made up of former choir members, and a covered dish lunch following the service in the Family Life Center.

Homecoming at Christiana Lutheran
Christiana Lutheran Church celebrates its 148th homecoming on Sunday beginning with breakfast at 8:45 a.m. in the Smith Assembly Hall, Sunday school at 9:15 a.m. and worship with the Sacrament of Holy Communion at 10:30 a.m. Homecoming preacher is Rev. Randall Cauble, a son of the congregation and currently pastor of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Hickory. Pastor Carl Haynes will be the celebrant. Becky Morris is the organist/music director.

Homecoming at New Covenant Baptist
KANNAPOLIS — New Covenant Baptist Church, 1400 Stone Ave., will observe homecoming on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
A covered dish lunch will be served outside in the covered area. The special guest speaker is pastor Jim Harris.

Hall’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, 611 E. Monroe St., will observe homecoming on Sunday. Elder Richard Johnson, pastor, will deliver the 11 a.m. message. Pastor Dale Wilson and the Campbell Missionary Baptist Church of Mooresville will be in charge of the 3 p.m. service. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m.
Revival services are Monday-Wednesday, Sept.16-18 at 7 p.m. Revivalist will be Elder Timothy L. Lyons, pastor of Kings Mountain View Progressive Primitive Baptist Church of Mt. Airy.

Revival at Soldiers Memorial AME Zion
Soldiers Memorial AME Zion Church, 306 North Church St., holds Friends and Family Day on Sunday at 11 a.m. .
Revival services are Tuesday-Thursday, Sept. 17-19 at 7 p.m. Before the service on Wednesday the 18th, there will be an Evangelism Workshop at 6 p.m.
The evangelist for the revival and workshop is Rev. Dr. Otis T. McMillan, executive director of Church Growth and Development for the AME Zion Church.

Women’s Day at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist
Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 1920 Shirley Ave., will hold its annual Women’s Day service on Sunday at 11 a.m. Guest speaker is Rev. Y-Tushae McNeill who leads New Restoration Church of Kannapolis and Emmanuel Full Gospel Church of Windsor.

First Calvary Baptist Family and Friends Day

EAST SPENCER — Shady Grove Baptist Church will celebrate homecoming and revival on Sunday-Wednesday, Sept. 15-18. Bratton previously served as pastor of Moore’s Chapel and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Ministry degree at Hood Theological Seminary.
