Rowan weather: Hot, with Code Orange air quality

Summer has no intention of leaving early. Today will be hot and humid, with a high of 92 and mostly sunny skies. Winds will be light from the north northeast.

Today is also a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for ground level ozone, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. The air is unhealthy, especially for people with heart or lung disease, small children and the elderly.

Tonight will be partly cloudy and 69, with northeast wind at 3-5 mph. Patchy fog is possible after 1 a.m.

Tuesday will have patchy fog until around 10 a.m. Then it will be partly sunny and 88. There is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Wind will be east northeast around 5 mph.

Tuesday night will be partly cloudy and 68, with calm wind.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny and 91, with calm wind. The low will be 67, with partly cloudy skies.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and 93. Thursday night will be partly cloudy and 68.

Friday will be mostly sunny and 90, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. The same chance of rain continues Friday night, mainly before 10 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 67.

Saturday will be partly sunny and 87, with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. The low will be 66, with mostly cloudy skies.
