The 10-Minute Play Festival returns to LSt

Opens tonight: Sept. 5-8

Well it’s back!  Lee Street theatre’s very much anticipated return of the 2019 10-By-10-Minute Play Festival opens Thursday, September 5th and runs through the 7th, playing at 7:30pm, with a matinee on Sunday the 8th at 2:00pm.

This year’s festival delivers a wide variety of comedic offerings, including plays featuring the trials and tribulations of love, everyday challenges, OKLAHOMA as you have never seen it and fairy tale endings. Featuring a strong cast, these pieces will leave you rolling in the aisles and smiling throughout the evening.  Tickets are available now at leestreet.org for this limited Spotlight Series one-weekend offering.

The cast this year includes local favorites and veterans of the stage all the way to people debuting on stage at Lee Street.  Cast in the 2019 10-By-10-Minute Play Festival includes Mary Ann McCubbin, Rick Anderson, Len Clark, Eliza Smith, Martin James, John Brincefield, Nick Bishop, Jess Johnson, Allison Proba, Skyler Sanders, Jojo Allen, Theresa Brandt, Marcus Cadet, Kat Brown, Max McKercher, Rod Oden, Charles Karvon, Matt Spry, Addsion Bevis, and Mason Livers.  Directors for the productions include Cindi Graham, Len Clark, Mike Cline, Denise McKercher, Charles Karvon, Beth Bentley, Rod Oden, Caroline Stephenson, Claudia Galup, and Matthew Monte.

Theatre Executive Director Rod Oden said, “The festival has been eagerly asked for by performers and directors, as well as audiences alike have inquired as to when we would bring it back.  We are proud to bring this production back and hope to continue it for many years to come.” Oden also expressed his deep gratitude for all involved, directors, cast and crew alike. “We can’t do this sort of thing alone, it takes a village,” Oden said.

The Lee Street theatre Spotlight Series 10-By-10-Minute Play Festival proudly returns to the Lee Street stage, this weekend ONLY.  The show is running Thursday September 5 through 7 at 7:30pm, and a matinee on September 8 at 2:00pm.
