To help students understand the importance of helping those in need, Sacred Heart Catholic School will sponsor Dress Down Days each month.
In October, the school will sponsor two Friday Dress Down Days to show extra support for the Rowan County United Way campaign for 2019. United Way supports 16 charitable agencies in Rowan County.
Students are permitted to wear shorts, jeans or cargo pants for $1 or dress down entirely for $2. The school is asking for parents’ help ensuring that students are dressed in appropriate “dress down” attire for school.
For August, students dressed down for Prevent Child Abuse Rowan and raised $306. The agency’s executive director, Beth McKeithan, was presented a check at a morning assembly.
