12 Tribes program at Fairview Heights
Fairview Heights Missionary Baptist Church, 704 Old Concord Road, will host a Twelve Tribes program on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. Host pastor is Rev. Clarence E. Marlin.

 

Beasley to speak at Piedmont UU Church
The Salisbury Gathering will participate in a combined service with the University Gathering at 9704 Mallard Creek Road, Charlotte.
The Sunday 9:45 a.m. service features guest speaker Rev. Kathy Beasley of Orlando, Fla.
Rev. Beasley is a recent graduate of Unity Urban Ministerial School and is licensed as a Unity Minister.
The service will be followed by a caravan to the Charlotte PRIDE parade. Rev. Mary Frances Comer is the minister of Piedmont Unitarian Universalist Church.

 

Homecoming at NorthGate
NorthGate Church, 1255 W. Ridge Road, is celebrating its inaugural homecoming on Sunday from 10:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.
There will be a potluck meal after the service.

 

Homecoming at Luther’s Lutheran
Luther’s Lutheran Church, at the corner of Stokes Ferry and Richfield Roads, celebrates homecoming on Sunday with guest speaker bishop Timothy Smith. A covered dish meal follows the service.

 

Messiah Lutheran’s 77th anniversary
On Sunday, Messiah Lutheran Church will celebrate its 77th anniversary. Current pastor, Rev. Don Safrit, will deliver the homecoming message during the 11 a.m. service. There will be no Sunday School that morning. A covered dish lunch will follow in the church fellowship hall. All former and current members are encouraged to attend for worship, food, and fellowship. Messiah Church is located on the corner of Lafayette St. and Martin Luther King Jr. Ave.

CLEVELAND — Smith Chapel Apostolic Holiness Church, 1735 Mt. Tabor Church Road, will be celebrating their Missionary Anniversary Sunday at the 11 a.m. and at 3 p.m. services.

 

Homecoming and revival at Union Chapel
LINWOOD — Union Chapel AME Zion Church, 4329 Sowers Road, celebrates homecoming and revival Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. with host pastor Rev. Michael Frencher Jr. speaking. Lunch will be served at 1:30 p.m.
At 3 p.m. Bishop James Ledbetter of Shady Grove Baptist Church will be the guest speaker.

KANNAPOLIS — United Baptist Church, 3001 Clermont Ave., will celebrate Pastor and Mrs. Jones 45th anniversary on Sunday at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Eric Susong, pastor of Mount Calvary Holy Church, will be the guest speaker.

 

Pastor anniversary at Shady Grove Baptist
MT. ULLA — Shady Grove Baptist Church, 220 Shady Grove Church Road, will celebrate its pastor’s 31st anniversary on Sunday at 4 p.m.
The guest speaker will be Rev. Clarence E. Marlin of Fairview Heights Baptist Church. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m.

 

Reggie Saddler Family in concert
Reggie Saddler and Family will be in concert Sunday at 5 p.m. at Franklin Presbyterian Church, 280 Franklin Church Drive. This event is free, but love offerings will be accepted. There will be a free meal afterwards.
