Rowan weather: Stormy pattern for the next several days

Patchy fog will linger until 10 a.m. today, then it will be mostly cloudy and 87. Winds will be south southwest this afternoon around 5 mph. We’ll have a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms mostly after 5 p.m.

A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible, with higher amounts in thunderstorms. Some storms could reach severe levels, with damaging winds, heavy rainfall and frequent lightning.

Tonight’s chance of storms and showers is 50%, tapering off around 3 a.m. Patchy fog will follow. It will be mostly cloudy and 72, with south wind at 3-6 mph. Another tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy and 87 with south southwest wind at 5-7 mph. The chance of showers and storms will be 60%, mainly after 4 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, except in thunderstorms.

Saturday night will have a 40% chance of showers and storms, mostly before 1 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 72, with southwest wind calming. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is expected.

Sunday will have a 60% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 89, with calm wind.

The chance of showers and storms goes up to 70% Sunday night, mainly before 5 a.n. It will be mostly cloudy and 71.

Monday will also have a 70% chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 11 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 85. The chance of showers and storms will be 50% Monday night, with mostly cloudy skies and a low of 69.

Tuesday, too, will have a 50% chance of showers and storms. It will be partly sunny and 85. The low will be 68, with a 30% chance of thunderstorms and showers.

Wednesday will also have a 30% chance of showers and storms. It will be mostly sunny and 86. The low will be 69, still with a 30% chance of showers and storms.

And Thursday will be mostly sunny and 88, with a 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms.
