Letter: What about finding money for Kesler Mill?

In reference to the article published  Thursday (“Tunnel now possibility at train station”) about the N.C. Department of Transportation exploring the idea of building a tunnel for the trains and having the Salisbury City Council rectify show their support, I just want to point out that I live five blocks away from the train station & have dropped friends off at 2:30 a.m. and 3:30 a.m.

It’s a scary place. Believe me when I say I can not imagine any sane people walking in a tunnel so close to Cemetery Street.

I will have lived in the Kesler Mill area for nine years on August 12th. In those nine years we have, as a neighborhood, received one stop sign. Though, we have been promised the moon.

When when when will this city wake up and realize Park Avenue and the Kesler Mill area deserve to get funds.

We are the weakest neighborhood. former Planning Director Janet Gapen told me that.
