Alfred and Helena Vedeikis of Salisbury celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on June 14, 2019. They were married in Columbus, Ohio at Christ the King Catholic Church, with Father Ring officiating.

Before retiring, Al worked over 50 years in the retail industry in both stores and corporate offices with Kroger, Food Lion, Dollar General, and Walmart. He met Helena at the Kroger store they both worked at in 1968.

Helena worked in Office Administration and Manage-ment for Food Lion in the Legal Department and Loss Prevention and in Registration and Insurance Verification at Novant-Rowan Regional Medical Center, before retiring.

The couple was honored with a family celebration hosted by their children Michele Vedeikis, Salisbury; Erica Vedeikis, Salisbury; Amy Vedeikis of Salisbury and fur-children Lily Rose and Molly of the home, along with 6 fur grand-children.
