Rowan weather: Another day with off and on rain
Some areas of Rowan County have serious fog this morning, while others, where little rain fell, are fine.
Today will be cloudy and 80, with a 70 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, especially after 10 a.m. Winds will be south southwest at 3-7 mph. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible, with higher amounts in thunderstorms.
Counties to our west are under a flash flood watch throughout the day.
Tonight will have a 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, with storms tapering off around 3 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 64, with southwest wind at 5-7 mph shifting to the north northwest after midnight. Another tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 78, with just a 20 percent chance of showers before 11 a.m. It will be a partly cloudy night with a low of 58 and east northeast wind at 3-5 mph.
Wednesday brings a 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 9 a.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 72, with east wind at 5-7 mph. The same chance of showers is possible Wednesday night, with thunderstorms after 10 p.m. It will be mostly cloudy and 60.
Thursday will be partly sunny and 79, with a 40 percent chance of showers before 1 p.m. Thursday night will be mostly clear and 56.
Friday will be sunny and 78, with a mostly clear night and a low of 58.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 83. The low will be 64, with partly cloudy skies.
Sunday will be mostly sunny and 85.
