On May 24 during the Senior Awards Program at South Rowan High School in China Grove, “Wild Bill” Corriher presented his “Wild Bill” Corriher JROTC Scholarships to each of four applicants. Each recipient received a $1,000 scholarship.

These scholarships were made possible through numerous supporters from the community. Recipients are Taylor Alexis Gillespie, Madison Nicole Lowery, Jamie Erin Minehart and Anthony Michael Skrip.

Gillespie will attend Pfeiffer University and major in nursing or criminal justice. Lowery will attend Catawba College and major in criminal justice. Minehart will attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and major in international business. Skrip will attend Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and major in nursing.
