Favorite assigned book: “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee

Defining moment in my life: I have two: getting accepted into UNC and being valedictorian of Rowan County Early College. Both of these things really highlighted what my hard work had done. All the stress, late nights studying, etc. had finally paid off when these two events occurred.

The secret to high school success: The secret? Hard work. I put in countless hours studying and making sure I knew everything prior to a lecture or a test. I can remember a myriad of times where I blew off hanging out with my friends because I wanted a high grade on a test, which sounds a bit over the top, but I wanted to succeed in school; it was my goal. If someone really wants to succeed in high school and have that 4.0 GPA, they have to work hard and commit to their goals!

If I had $10 million: If I had $10 million, I would fund different educational programs that benefit children in less fortunate areas. I highly believe that a good education comes with a good future. Along with these programs, I would love to fund different scholarship opportunities for people who have a tough time paying for college.
