‘Nashville on the Lake’ celebrates 14 years
June 8 • 7-10 p.m.
Darrell Connor and the Country Music Legends Band headlines the 14th annual Nashville on the Lake Concert, that also features a special appearance by Carolina Rose, daughter of Bill Monroe, Father of Blue Grass Music.
Hotdogs and hamburgers, soft drinks and desserts will be available for purchase starting at 6 p.m. The music will start at 7 p.m. Bring a lawn chair or blanket.

Trio 2019: South Main Book Co. celebrates third anniversary

Trio 2019 is authors, artists and musicians from all over the South, helping celebrating South Main Book Co.’s third anniversary and the 21st of the store with a collaboration of books, music and art.
It begins with a book.
One book is given to both a songwriter and a visual artist. They write a song and create a work of art inspired by that book.

KANNAPOLIS — For the upcoming Black History Celebration on June 29, the Kannapolis African-American Museum and Cultural Center (KAA-MaCC) is compiling a historical list of African-American service members born in Cabarrus or Rowan County.
The interest is in both past and current members of any of the United States Armed Services from any period.
