Question: Where is the concert?

Answer:

This year, Pops at the Post will take place at the North Carolina Transportation Museum, as opposed to the old First Bank in downtown Salisbury. The concert itself will be inside of the museum’s Back Shop, one of the first buildings visitors see as they approach the grounds. The name of this year’s event is “Pops at the Post, Railway Edition.”

Question: When does the event begin?

Answer:

Pops at the Post is held annually the first Saturday in June. This year, it will be held on June 1 at 7:30 p.m.

However, mini-events before the main concert are beginning at 5 p.m. The Salisbury Swing Band will perform from 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a Golf Cart Parade that will line up at 5 p.m. and begin at 5:30 p.m., and a “Little Railroaders” children’s costume competition at 6 p.m. The tailgate competition will be judged from 6:30 to 7:25 p.m.

Question: When can I arrive?

Answer:

The Transportation Museum is open for business on the day of the concert. Guests are welcome to arrive early to Pops at the Post, although those that arrive before 3 p.m. will have to pay an entrance fee of $5 since the museum will be open.

Tailgaters may arrive beginning at 3 p.m.
