Blotter: Salisbury woman takes police on high-speed vehicle chase

A Salisbury woman was charged Wednesday after she took police on a high-speed chase that ended in Lexington. Authorities said officers reached speeds in excess of 120 mph to catch up to the woman.

Salisbury Police charged Sha’Le Monique Glenn, 26, of the 60 block of Cedar Street, with misdemeanor resist, obstruct, delay an officer; misdemeanor speeding 15 mph more than the speed limit, misdemeanor driving while license revoked or suspended, misdemeanor reckless driving and felony fleeing to elude arrest with a motor vehicle.

Officers stopped Glenn for speeding. She pulled over, wouldn’t provide any information to the officer, rolled up her window, and took off.

After the chase went into Lexington, Glenn eventually pulled over at a restaurant on Old Linwood Road, in Lexington.

She was issued a $5,000 secured bond and has since been released from the Rowan County jail.

• Roberto Carlos Gonzalez Ramirez, 18, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance schedule VI up to half an ounce, speeding, reckless driving, possession of marijuana drug paraphernalia while at West N.C. 152 and Patterson Street, China Grove.

• William Harley Hodges, 27, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor assault on a female while in the 200 block of Westfork Drive.

• Travis Elmer Cox, 39, was charged on Tuesday with felony possession of a controlled substance schedule II while in the 300 block of Baptist Church Road, Gold Hill.

• Darryl Aubrey Dubose, 30, was charged on Tuesday with felony possession of a controlled substance schedule I while in the 200 block of North Main Street.

• Mellisa Cline, 45, was charged on Tuesday with misdemeanor communicating threats in the 200 block of South Salisbury Avenue, Granite Quarry.
