Rowan weather: Heat is on for the weekend
Morning showers were a surprise to some and we have a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. Some of the storms could become severe.
Patchy fog is possible this morning, then it will be partly sunny with a high of 86 and southwest wind at 5-9 mph.
Tonight will be mostly clear and 68, with southwest wind at 3-5 mph.
Today and tomorrow will be code yellow air quality days as heat and humidity increase.
Friday will be hot, with a high of 94 and sunny skies. Wind will be west northwest at 5-8 mph in the morning. Friday night will be clear and 68, with north northwest wind around 5 mph calming.
Saturday will be mostly sunny and 92, with east northeast wind around 5 mph becoming light and variable in the afternoon. We’ll have a low of 70, with partly cloudy skies.
Sunday will be a scorcher, with a high of 95. The low will be 70.
Memorial Day will be sunny and 94, with a partly cloudy night and a low of 69.
Tuesday will be mostly sunny and 93. The low will be 70, with partly cloudy skies.
Wednesday, we’ll reach a high of 95 with mostly sunny skies.
