We will have pleasant days today and Wednesday before the heat builds to near-record levels.

Both days are still code yellow air days, meaning people with asthma or other lung or heart conditions may be affected.

Today will be sunny and 84, with calm wind during the day becoming northeast around 6 mph later. Tonight will be mostly clear and 59, with east wind around 6 mph after midnight.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and 80, with southeast wind at 3-6 mph. The low will be 64, with mostly cloudy skies and light southeast wind.

Thursday will be mostly sunny and 88, with a 20 percent chance of showers. Winds will be west southwest around 7 mph. A slight chance of thunderstorms is possible before 7 p.m., then a slight chance of showers between 7 and 9 p.m. The low ill be 68, with partly cloudy skies.

Heat begins to build Friday, with sunny skies and a high of 92. The low will be 67, with mostly clear skies.

Saturday will be sunny and 91, with a low of 69.

Sunday will be sunny and 94, with a mostly clear night and another low of 69.

Memorial Day will be a hot one, with a high of 94 and plenty of sunshine.
