SALISBURY — Two Salisbury men wanted on methamphetamine and heroin possession charges turned themselves in over the weekend, Rowan County officials said.

Aaron Eugene Mothershead, 29, of the 100 block of Knights Place, was charged Friday with felony selling and delivering a Schedule II controlled substance; selling and delivering a Schedule I controlled substance; possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine; and possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver heroin.

Coleman Ray Buckwell, 30, of the 500 block of Gold Hill Drive, was charged Friday with maintaining a vehicle for trafficking in controlled substances; conspiring to sell and deliver a Schedule I substance; and conspiring to sell and deliver a Schedule II controlled substance.

Rowan authorities said on March 15, a sheriff’s deputy was at the Pilot gas station on Peeler Road when he saw a woman involved in a drug transaction. She pulled her car into the parking lot, and eventually a Honda pulled in front of her.

Authorities said she bought drugs from Mothershead and Buckwell, both of whom were in the Honda. When the deputy approached the woman, she admitted having heroin and methamphetamine. The deputy was familiar with her because of prior drug use, authorities said.
