Post partners with BH Media for production

Beginning Tuesday, April 30, the Salisbury Post will print and package the newspaper through a partnership with BH Media Group’s production facility in Winston-Salem.

Post Publisher Greg Anderson said the move will better position the Salisbury Post to invest its resources in its core mission.

“This change positions us to focus our time and resources on our core mission of reporting local news and providing essential marketing services for local businesses. It removes the capital-intensive burden of operating our own production equipment,” Anderson said. “Because of the age of the equipment, upcoming repairs and maintenance would be costly and inefficient.”

Post employees were informed of the change this week. All 11 affected employees have the opportunity to interview for jobs at the Winston-Salem facility.

BH Media’s state-of-the-art presses will provide high quality printing and have the capacity for color on every page of the newspaper.

“We are pleased to enter a partnership that improves the product we provide readers and advertisers.  We expect a smooth transition.” Anderson said.
