Letter: Faith Elementary must not close

In a town in which there are three churches, sits the very school in which I was brought up.

I have watched that school  — Faith Elementary — grow all of my life. The school resides in an peaceful little haven and a heartwarming community. It would anger me to see the doors of Faith Elementary close.

We must pull together and keep this school open for this generation and generations to come. Who knows? The next president or the cure for a fatal diseases could come from a student who attended Faith Elementary.

The ground on which  the late former President George H.W. Bush walked own and played ball is now in jeopardy.

Faith Elementary has been a stalwart of the community of Faith as well as Rowan County for decades. Now it is possibly looking at its end. I encourage all concerned citizens and parents to take action.
