Tony L. Jenkins and Janice Poole Jenkins of China Grove celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Feb. 23, 2019. An open house at their home was hosted by their children and their spouses on Feb. 24, 2019.

The Jenkins were united in marriage Feb. 23, 1969, by Probate Judge Mildred Nunn in York, S.C. After 35 years, Tony retired from and was former co-owner of China Grove Auto Parts.  He is also a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam. Janice, also after 35 years, retired from and was co-owner of China Grove Auto Parts. She also served as Farmer’s Day Chairman in China Grove for 18 years.

The couple have two children, Tonya Jenkins Correll and husband Randall of Mt. Ulla and Tony “TJ” Jenkins Jr. and wife Angela of China Grove. They also have seven grandchildren.
