Rowan weather: Fog, then more rain

Rowan is under a dense fog advisory until 9 a.m. today, with areas of fog through 10 a.m.

It will be cloudy and 62, with a 70 percent chance of rain after 1 p.m. Winds will be northeast around 5 mph this afternoon. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is expected.

Tonight’s chance of rain is 80 percent, with showers mainly before 4 a.m., and more fog. The low will be 44, with east southeast wind at 5-8 mph. A quarter to half inch of rain is possible.

Friday will be cloudy and 49 with a 40 percent chance of showers, mainly after 2 p.m. Patchy fog will linger through 1 p.m. The high will be 49, with northeast wind around 7 mph. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Friday night will be cloudy and 40, with a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly before 10 p.m. East northeast wind around 6 mph will calm. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected.

Saturday will be partly sunny and 60, with a 20 percent chance of showers. That chance of showers continues Saturday night, which will be mostly cloudy and 44.

Sunday has an 80 percent chance of rain, mainly after 11 a.m. The high will be 58. Sunday night has the same chance of rain, mainly before 2 p.m., but the rain could be heavy at times. The low will be 37.

Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high of just 48. The low will be a cold 28, with partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday will be partly sunny and cooler, with a high of 44; the low will dip to 20 degrees, so try to protect whatever blooming plants you might have.

Wednesday will be sunny and cold, with a high of 40.
