SALISBURY — To go with the 49 Days of Gratitude now underway, the Kiwanis Club of Salisbury will offer teachers in the Rowan-Salisbury Schools district free admission to the club’s annual pancake festival.

The Kiwanis Pancake Festival will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. March 8 and 7:30 to 10:30 a.m. March 9 at J.F. Hurley Family YMCA, 828 Jake Alexander Blvd.

All teachers have to do for free admission is to show their school IDs.

“With our emphasis on children, we have decided to extend gratitude to the teachers of the Rowan-Salisbury Schools system,” Kiwanis member Rick Eldridge informed 49 Days of Gratitude organizers.

The 49 Days of Gratitude kicked off this past Saturday and will extend with programs, activities and collections for nonprofit groups through the closing ceremony March 30.
