Rowan weather: Heavy rain possible tonight

The expected freezing rain has yet to fall, but we still have a 60 percent chance of rain between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., followed by showers. We may also see some patchy fog. It will be cloudy and 50, with calm wind becoming south at 5-8 mph this afternoon.

Tonight has a 100 percent chance of showers before 9 p.m., then rain through 11 p.m., followed by more showers. Fog will form around 7 p.m. Temperatures will rise to 56 by 1 a.m., with south wind at 11-18 mph, gusting to 28 mph. Three-quarters to an inch of rain is possible.

Thursday will be cloudy, with a 60 percent chance of showers, mainly before noon. Patchy fog is possible before 8 a.m. The skies will gradually clear, with the temperature falling to 47 by 5 p.m. Southwest wind around 9 mph will shift to the northwest. A tenth to quarter inch of rain is possible.

Thursday night will be mostly clear and 28, with northwest wind at 5-7 mph gradually calming.

Friday wlll be sunny but chilly, with a high of 44 and west northwest wind at 5-7 mph in the morning. It will be a clear night, with a cold low of 24.

Saturday will be sunny and 45, with a partly cloudy night and a low of 27.

Sunday will be partly sunny and 48, with a low of 30.

Monday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 51. Monday night will be mostly cloudy and 34.

Tuesday brings a 40 percent chance of showers, mostly cloudy skies and a high of 52.
