Four high school juniors will vie for the title of Miss East Rowan Junior Civitan at 6:30 tonight in the East Rowan High School auditorium.

Admission is five canned goods or $5, with proceeds going to Organ Community Outreach Ministries and Rowan Helping Ministries.

The pageant was rescheduled in November. The 2018 Miss Junior Civitan will be crowned by Miss Junior Civitan 2017, Grace Faller.

Contestants are Sierra Braun, Anna Hester, Athena Thomas and Jaylee Usher. They will compete in several categories, including biographical resume, casual wear, talent, evening wear and on-stage interview.

The 2018 Miss Junior Civitan will represent the East Rowan Junior Civitans at parades and festivals. She will also be instrumental in planning the 2019 Miss Junior Civitan Pageant and will perform then.

Additional East Rowan Junior Civitans will serve as stagehands and perform other duties during the program. Gracie Warden is the program designer and student coordinator; Bailey Hoesman, the choreographer; and Courtney Mauney the Junior Civitan adviser and pageant coordinator.

Alex Gobbel, Grace Faller and To the Pointe Dance Studio will provide entertainment. Cara Beaver, Amie Capano, Tinsley Merrell and Jennifer Warden will judge.
