White Rock hosts prayer breakfast Saturday
GRANITE QUARRY — White Rock AME Zion Church, 785 White Rock Ave., hosts its Men’s Day Prayer Breakfast on Saturday from 8 -11 a.m. Cost $8.

Gospel Fest at Union Chapel AME Zion
LINWOOD — The Steward Board of Union Chapel AME Zion Church, 4329 Sowers Road, hosts its 8th annual Gospel Fest on Saturday at 6 p.m. Groups planning to attend are The Zionettes of Union Chapel, Another Level of Concord, The Echoes for Christ from Salisbury, Antioch Gospel Singers of Monroe, The Battle Singers of The Piedmont, Beverly Alexander and Nu Praise of Winston Salem, Minster Romeo Harris and others.

Epiphany at Bethel Lutheran
Bethel Lutheran Church, 355 East Ridge Road, will celebrate the Epiphany of our Lord on Sunday with a Holy Communion Festival Service beginning at 10:30 a.m. The adult chime choir will play pre-service music.

The Mighty Pilgrimaires
WOODLEAF — The Mighty Pilgrimaires of Salisbury celebrate their 41st Annual Gospel Program Sunday at 4 p.m. at Freedom United Church of God, 1555 Hart Road. On program will be JSoul and God’s Creation of Mocksville, Echoes for Christ of Salisbury, Messengers for Christ from Cleveland, and guest groups The Tillman Singers formerly of Wadesboro and The Legendary Robert Ross and the Gospel Truths of Charlotte. Food will be sold; admission is free.

Light of the World Men’s Chorus Christmas Concert
The St. John’s Men’s Chorus Concert, “Light of the World,” is rescheduled for 4 p.m. Jan. 6 in the St. John’s sanctuary. The concert will include solos, duets, vocal ensembles, instrumentalists, and the St. John’s handbell ensemble. A freewill offering will benefit Meals on Wheels.

Root of David Church of Deliverance

Movie night at Trading Ford

Purpose Driven Life classes
Purpose Driven Life classes are hosted by In My Father’s House, led by Rev. Roosevelt Jenkins. They are held from 10-11 a.m. on the first and second Thursday of each month, at Brookdale Assisted Living, 2201 Statesville Blvd. The next study date is Jan. 10.
