I am writing to commend the deputies and investigators of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. In early November, our Cub Scout pack’s camping trailer with all our gear was stolen from the church parking lot.

Usually, with so much time elapsed, any hope of recovery is futile. However, detective Phillips contacted me last week after recovering some of our pack’s camping equipment.

Detective Phillips along with Deputy Weaver are still working the case, and I hope they will continue to show positive results.

Too often, we hear nothing but negative press concerning law enforcement professionals. Despite facing danger and disrespect, they do a job few others will do, and they do it well. Thank you to officers Phillips and Weaver and to all of their colleagues.
