Piedmont Players theatre will offer a class in improvisation and scene study from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursdays beginning Jan. 17.

Tuition is $275.

Imaginative storytelling, creating characters, improvisation, problem solving, teamwork and active listening are all emerging skills that will be covered in the class. The class will include a showcase performance open to the public.

PPT Norvell School of Theatre offers classes designed to provide a fun and challenging experience for both beginner and experienced performers.

Taught by local professionals, classes give students the opportunity to develop performance skills, including character development, stage movement and vocal projection.
