ROCKWELL — The Rockwell High School Class of 1952 met on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018 at the home of class member Sue Misenheimer for their 66th class reunion.
A candle was lit in memory of Jackie Beaver Bernhardt, who died in May of this year. A monetary gift will be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church in her memory.
Sue, Norma Jean Lester and Larry St. Clair prepared and served a delicious meal to the nine class members and five guests who were present. They had decorated the tables in beautiful fall colors.
Following the meal, we talked and shared stories and memories from our days in school and enjoyed visiting with each other.
Most class members who were unable to attend were contacted and their responses shared with the group. A number of them have health problems.
We also talked about the 22 class members who are deceased, and shared things we remember about their personalities and fun things they did.
Members present were: Ruth Goodman Shaver, Minnie Rattz Wood, Mary Eller Agner, Margaret Shue Fisher, Norma Jean Hill Lester, Sue Ritchie Misenheimer, Geneva File Williams, Mike Conry and Larry Corl. Our guests were Jackie Speight, Linda Taylor, Jean Conry, Hubert Agner and Larry St. Clair.
We meet annually and look forward to having everyone present again next year. As we said our goodbyes, Sue gave each of us a nice treat bag.
Members of the organizing committee were Mary Agner, Norma Jean Lester, Sue Misenheimer and Geneva Williams.
