Special service at Gethsemane Baptist
Gethsemane Missionary Baptist Church will host the Youth 4 Christ Friends and Family Mass Choir on Saturday at 5 p.m. This year’s program is dedicated to Sister Emma Hunter who has supported the group since the beginning day. Youth 4 Christ is also honoring four groups for their dedication to gospel music: Spiritual Voices, Disicples of Joy, Gospel Choir of Files Chapel and the Zionettes of Union Chapelm, with emcee Roland Carter. Soloists: Mae Sturdivant, Janet Shuford, Lekishja Mabry, Minster Wonda Shaw, Rev. Sherry Ford, Shanita Davs, Joe Smith Emory Susong, Jackie Yancey. Guest directors: Bishop Draft, Jamaine Smith, Eddie Brown, Emory Susong. Milton Griffith is founder and director of Youth 4 Christ. Admissions is free.

Lilly’s Chapel observes Men’s Day
Lilly’s Chapel Church of God, 618 W Thomas St, S, will host its Men’s Day Service on Sunday at 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Rev. Clarence Marlin, pastor of Fairveiw Heights Baptist Church with music by the Fairview Heights choir. Special guests are the Men’s Community Quartet.
Host pastor is Dr. Doris Clawson.

Cornelius program at Sills Creek AME Zion
MOORESVILLE — The annual Memorial Singing Program in memory of the late Rev. F. L. Cornelius will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at Sills Creek AME Zion Church, 3165 Bradshaw Road.

Pastor Appreciation at Shady Grove
MT. ULLA — Shady Grove, 220 Shady Grove Road, will host its Pastor and First lady’s Appreciation service on Sunday at 3 p.m. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m. The guest speaker is Pastor Marlon Sanders of Mooresville.

The Ushers of Ardis Chapel, 1940 Old Mocksville Road will have a Rainbow Tea Sunday at 3 p.m. Rev. Jerry Miller, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church, will speak. Host pastor is Rev. Martha Greene.

United Ministerial Alliance
The United Ministerial Alliance will host its joint worship service at 7 p.m., Sunday at Solid Rock Church of God, 1004 Locke St. Rev. Tommy Walker, pastor of AhaVah Outreach Ministries of Salisbury will deliver the message. Rev. Samuel A. Washington is host pastor.

Watoto Children’s Choir at Outreach Christian Ministries
The Watoto Children’s Choir from Uganda East Africa will be returning to Outreach Christian Ministries, 722 W Horah St., at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec 19. The children range in age from 7-14. Admission is free, so come early.
The Watoto Children’s Choir will be performing its brand new album, “We Will Go.” The 6-month tour, launching in the USA on the East Coast, presents the story of abandoned African children and vulnerable women, who’ve been empowered to rise above their circumstances, and answer the call to be part of the new Africa — ready to make a difference in the world.
