SALISBURY — Herrison Chicas, a social entrepreneur and spoken word artist, will speak at this month’s Rowan Chamber’s Minority Business Council meeting.

The event is Dec. 18 at 9 a.m. at the Gateway Building on 204 E. Innes Street.

At Universe Creative Agency, Chicas has performed at Dartmouth College. Duke University and Virginia Tech. His work has also been featured on National Public Radio, the Smithsonian Anacostia Museum and various TED talks.

Chicas graduated from UNC Chapel Hill.

The Chamber’s Minority Business Council is chaired by Elia Gegorek with Gegorek & Associates Realty.
