SALISBURY — Carillon Assisted Living of Salisbury will host the Carolers of Christmas Past, a Victorian Christmas caroling group, for a free concert from 10 a.m. to noon. Saturday.

Donations during the concert to benefit the Humane Society of Rowan County.

The Salisbury caroling concert is part of a companywide effort to welcome families and friends to Carillon’s communities for a festive celebration featuring the traditions of Christmas past and present. The Carolers of Christmas Past will perform a signature style of Dickens-era classics in full Victorian dress costume from 11 a.m. to noon.

“Our Carillon Christmas Concert is a way to bring people together around the very traditions that unite us at the holiday season and, in effect, all year long,” said Carillon President and CEO Karen Moriarty. “And it is so important to center those festivities around our seniors, because they are the ones who taught us to honor those Christmas traditions and to pass them on to our children.”

In addition to music and caroling, the program will feature holiday fare and incorporate charitable giving to help the Humane Society, which saves the lives of animals it rescues and educates the public about responsible, humane animal care.

Carillon Assisted Living of Salisbury is at 1915 Mooresville Road.
