Three-vehicle West Innes Street crash

SALISBURY — One man was injured Monday morning when he was temporarily trapped inside a passenger vehicle that was involved in a three-vehicle collision.

The crash occurred just before 11 a.m. at 1624 W. Innes St., in front of Hendrix Barbecue restaurant.

The man’s name was not available. He was taken to Novant Health Rowan Medical Center by ambulance with minor injuries.

A Salisbury Fire Department crew had to cut the passenger door in order to free the man from the vehicle.

The Salisbury Police Department investigated the collision. Police blocked the road while emergency personnel worked to free the man from the car.
